To Leadwalk at the GallopNYC / Extreme Kids and Crew Summer Experience
The weeks of August 17th and 24th, GallopNYC and Extreme Kids and Crew will partner together to create a summer experience at our Prospect Park location. We will host 7-9 riders per day, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 – Noon. We still need a few experienced leadwalkers. GallopNYC is participating in RBC Race for the Kids, October 17th, 2015 at Brookfield Place Waterfront Plaza. We are excited to announce that registration is officially open. BE HERE! To meet our new CUNY Service Corps Members
Beginning the week of September 14th, we will have 8 new CUNY Service Corps Members working on site to assist with lessons. Come out to introduce yourself to Cynthia Odili Actie, Oluwabusola Oyenuga, Jessica Altieri, Adriana Villanueva, Lana Roff, Jabeen Cheema, Clariza Mayo, StephanieOlcese.

September 9th and 22nd – Marie Varvaro will be holding leadwalker training clinics at Jamaica Bay Riding Academy, 7000 Shore Road, Brooklyn. Come out to learn basic techniques to be a confident leadwalker at GallopNYC.
September 16th and 29th – Marie Varvaro will be teaching basic Horsemanship for GallopNYC volunteers at Jamaica Bay Riding Academy, 7000 Shore Road, Brooklyn. Come learn basic horsemanship and work with our new horses!
August 31st – September 3rd – VOLUNTEER VISITING DAYS – Come out to 4 of our locations to meet and spend time with the horses, instructors and other volunteers before lessons begin, from 10:00am-12:00pm. August 31st – Riverdale Equestrian Center 6351 Broadway, Bronx; September 1st – Bronx Equestrian Center 9 Shore Road, Bronx; September 2nd – Lynne’s Riding School 8803 70th Road, Queens; September 3rd – Jamaica Bay Riding Academy 7000 Shore Road, Brooklyn.

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our good friend and colleague, Richmond Agbesi who passed away July 18th, 2015. We will miss him. GallopNYC is hosting a Day of Service in his honor on September 13th at Prospect Park. We will be joined by fellow CUNY Service Corps Members and his fraternity brothers.
