GallopNYC is searching for qualified candidates to act in the role of Site Leader. This position has been developed to give interns leadership training and opportunity for practical experience.
Site leader interns will act in a leadership role at each one of our sites. Interns will be responsible for welcoming and assisting volunteers and riders, and, working in conjunction with our instructors, for ensuring that everyone on site is active and engaged. To prepare the Site Leaders for this responsibility, each intern will receive leadership training prior to being assigned to a site. In addition, GallopNYC staff will mentor and support each intern in their duties, and an evaluation will be completed at the end of their term.
The internship is unpaid but GallopNYC will complete the evaluations or paperwork necessary for the intern to receive academic credit for their work, along with references and recommendations.
This is an eleven week internship with a minimum requirement of four hours per week.
Spring Term Site Leaders begin near the beginning of April, and complete their term near the end of June.
Please email a cover letter and resume to [email protected]. Please include “Site Leader Intern” in the subject line of the email.
