Our New Wildflowers

Early in the summer a couple of my neighbors gave me packets of wildflower seeds. I didn’t know what (if anything) would come up; even after the seeds germinated I couldn’t recognize the plants.
But now!
We have a forget-me-not, poppies,  Some feathery stuff that might be cosmos…

and other things I still can’t identify

Of course there are plenty of old favorites: Hostas, black-eyed Susans, Veronicas, Easter lilies

milkweeds and day lilies, bee balm, and the wild and tame plants filling in the strip in front of the cabin

Also sighted: the beautiful milkweed beetles

It is never dull.
