Christine Quinn

Jamie Stelter

Meet riders and their families as they share their unique stories of the life-changing rewards of therapeutic horsemanship. Enjoy spectacular city views, dinner and square dancing!

By providing financial support for GallopNYC riders, staff and our trusty horses, your donation will provide scholarships to New Yorkers who would not otherwise be able to ride.

GallopNYC offers therapeutic riding to help children and adults with disabilities walk, talk and learn, inspiring them to live their lives as fully, independently and productively as possible. We are New York City’s premier therapeutic riding organization, offering lessons to several hundred riders each week at three locations across the City.

GallopNYC to Honor Christine Quinn

During the Barn Dance, GallopNYC will honor Christine C. Quinn, an accomplished public service leader and GallopNYC supporter. Quinn is the president and chief executive officer of Win, the largest provider of shelter, social services and supportive housing for homeless families in New York City. She is also the vice chair of the New York State Democratic Committee and serves on the Democratic National Committee.

A member of the New York City Council from 1999-2013, Quinn served for seven years as the elected Speaker of the Council, making her the first woman and the first openly gay Speaker in New York City history, as well as the highest-ranking openly LGBTQ+ official in New York City history. She is a lifelong rider who is deeply passionate about the ability of horses to heal.

Master of Ceremonies: Jamie Stelter

Jamie Stelter is the NY1 traffic anchor and Mornings On 1. The co-host has been a mainstay on the network since 2010, bringing viewers the latest from the trains, tunnels and all modes of transportation around the city. She’s been dubbed the "Trans-It Girl" by the New York Post and "New York's Wake Up Call" by Variety.
