Looking Forward to 2023!
Dear Families and Friends of GallopNYC,
With great excitement, I write to you as GallopNYC’s new executive director! Helping riders with disabilities find the light within them to walk, talk, learn, and grow their independence is a joyous endeavor that continuously needs our community’s support. As the only accredited therapeutic riding center in New York City, GallopNYC programs are essential.
“Riding horses makes my back muscles stronger and helps me balance myself better. My favorite part of riding is when I go fast: it’s an awesome feeling!” – Timothy, a teenage GallopNYC rider
“Seeing the way my son lights up every time he gets up in the saddle is special. Timothy is blind, so having trained instructors and volunteers who ensure his safety on horseback means a lot to us.” – Julie, Timothy’s mom
Your financial support makes this possible! All riders receive some form of financial aid, and, in 2022, 61% of therapeutic riding students received scholarships funded by your donations. In 2023 we aim to increase our programs further to benefit more people. As we look forward to this year, please consider making a gift to the GallopNYC. Your generosity will enable even more New Yorkers to saddle up!
