New York, NY — Oct. 25, 2024 — GallopNYC hosted its annual Barn Dance, a night filled with celebration, inspiration and philanthropy, all to support its life-changing therapeutic experiences with horses. The event raised close to $500,000 to support GallopNYC’s programs that serve New Yorkers with disabilities, older adults, veterans and first responders. The funds will also help care for GallopNYC’s cherished herd of therapy horses.

New York, – July 8, 2024 – Metropolitan Equestrian (MET), an organization dedicated to equestrian education and athletic excellence, announced an exciting new partnership with GallopNYC, the premier provider of therapeutic riding in New York City. GallopNYC provides therapeutic horsemanship programs to children and adults with disabilities, veterans, first responders and seniors.
New York - May 29, 2024 - The bridle path winding through New York City's Central Park was originally designed for horseback riding, and on Sunday, May 19, riders from GallopNYC embraced this New York tradition. Today, horses and riders are a less common sight in the park, making the promenade an excellent way to highlight GallopNYC's work serving New Yorkers with disabilities, older adults, veterans and first responders.
GallopNYC, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to making the life-changing benefits of therapeutic experiences with horses available to all New Yorkers with disabilities and other needs, announces the departure of Marcos Stafne, Ph.D., from his role as Executive Director.
New York – Dec. 7, 2023 – The leadership of GallopNYC, a nonprofit providing therapeutic horsemanship programs for New Yorkers with disabilities, seniors and veterans, announced the generous donation of a 60-second promotional video from acclaimed filmmaker Cameron Willis.
We celebrated our riders’ dedication to riding and horsemanship at our annual Ride with Pride Horse Show at Forest Hills Stables. Our riders were presented with blue ribbons for their efforts!
New York – Oct 26, 2023 – GallopNYC leadership announces the addition of four accomplished professionals to their board of directors: Jean Luna Lau, David Salaverry, John D. Nichols and Corrine Snow.
New York - Oct. 5, 2023 – GallopNYC held its eighth annual Barn Dance gala on Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Tribeca Rooftop. GallopNYC is New York City's only PATH International-certified therapeutic riding organization serving children and adults with disabilities and a community of veterans and seniors at three locations. The organization serves hundreds of New Yorkers each week with life-changing equine-assisted therapy.
GallopNYC announced the appointment of Constance Hunter as chair of the board of directors and Lauren Reischer and Arjun Saraswat were named new board members. Haidar Alrubaiee and Phoenix Trent join the GallopNYC staff as Managing Director and Development Director.
