Right in NYC, a country-style horse barn with contented horses and ponies, offering therapeutic and recreational riding in a large outdoor arena. Located in NYC Parks Gemini Fields, Sunrise Stables is an urban stable with a rural feel. There are two entrances, one on Linden Blvd here, and a back gate at 149th Ave. here.

  • Sunrise from the A Train
    Q41 bus from Rockaway Blvd

    • From Rockaway Blvd train station, take the Q41 bus toward Howard Beach. It will take approximately 8 minutes (5 stops) to reach 153 Ave. and 151 Ave.

    • Walk to 149 Ave and enter at our back gate here, on the right, at the end of the fence, where the houses start.

    • Please note that the wire fences near the back entrance are electric. Do not touch. The wood fence is safe to touch.

    Walk from 88th Street

    • From the A Train 88th Street Station, walk south for about 15 minutes to Arion Road, where there is a pedestrian bridge on the right side at the end of the street.

    • Take the pedestrian bridge to cross the Conduit and continue down 149th Ave to our back gate here, on the right, at the end of the fence, where the houses start.

    • Please note that the wire fences near the back entrance are electric. Do not touch. The wood fence is safe to touch.

    Walk from 80th St. or Grant Ave.

    • From the A Train 80th Street or Grant Ave Station, walk along South Conduit for about 15 minutes to 179th Street,  where a light will allow you to cross into the shopping center.  Walk through the shopping center then left along Linden to our front entrance here on the right side after walking along a white fence.

    • You can also UBER from Grant Ave. 

    Sunrise via L Train

    • Take the L Train to the New Lots Ave stop.

    • Ride the JFK Airport bound B15 bus for 20-30 minutes to  Linden Bl/78th St.

    • Continue walking East along Linden Blvd. to our front entrance, which is on the right side, after walking along a white fence.

  • Our entrance is on Linden Blvd. headed toward South Conduit Ave. Please note: visitors have had success using the directions app Waze to find the entrance.


 

Located near the corner of Caton Ave. and Coney Island Avenue in a gated area. The entrance is on the side across from the Kensington Dog Run.

We trailer ponies into the park from one of our barns to offer therapeutic horseback riding and hippotherapy on the Bowling Green at Prospect Park, also known as the Parade Grounds.

Prospect Park

  • Located near the corner of Caton Ave. and Coney Island Ave. in a gated area. The entrance is on the side across from the Kensington Dog Run.
