GallopNYC is led by a Board of Directors dedicated to our mission. Our talented Board of Directors are professionals with accomplishments in business, government, professional services and philanthropy.


Constance Hunter

Board Chair | Executive Committee Member

  • Constance Hunter most recently served as Head of Strategy of Corebridge Financial. Before joining Corebridge, Hunter was Executive Vice President, Global Head of Strategy & ESG for AIG.

    As a speaker, Hunter is known for her ability to make economic data understandable, user-friendly, and actionable. She has been repeatedly recognized for her work forecasting pivotal economic events.

    Before joining AIG, Hunter was the chief economist for KPMG, responsible for macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. She was also a member of KPMG’s Growth and Strategy Leadership team and served on the advisory board of the firm’s pension committee. She previously served as deputy chief investment officer at AXA Investment Managers, helping lead the management of more than $500 billion in fixed-income assets.

    Hunter is a past president and former board member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE), where she has also been recognized as a fellow and serves on the NABE Statistics Committee. She is on the board of the National Bureau for Economic Research.

    Hunter holds a B.A. in economics and sociology from New York University and a master’s from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She also holds the Certified Business Economist designation from the National Association for Business Economics.
    In addition to serving as the chairman of the GallopNYC board, Constance serves on the National Association for Business Economics board. Constance is a passionate equestrian, and understands first-hand the healing power of horses.

    Board member since 2016, Constance became board chairman in 2023.

Amanda Barshall-Cain

Vice Chair | Executive Committee Member

  • Amanda Barshall Cain is a Managing Director at Societe Generale, where she leads a team of Commodity sales specialists applying her knowledge of financial risk management in the Futures and Derivatives markets. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Amanda dedicates herself to causes that she is passionate about, including mentoring young professionals and the advancement of women in their careers, especially in the highly competitive finance industry. Ms. Cain is also on the Advisory Council for CentsAbility a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering high school students to manage their financial resources and has most recently lead the Global Angels at 100 Women In Finance.

Alicia Kershaw

  • Founder and former Executive Director of GallopNYC. Certified PATH Intl. instructor. Retired attorney. Life-long rider. Auxiliary Mounted NYC Parks Enforcement Patrol Officer.
    Board Member Since 2018. Founded GallopNYC.

Anna Laptook Goldman

Board Member

  • Anna Goldman was elected to the Board. She is a Director, Global Cobrand Business Development, at American Express. Anna was on the Vanderbilt equestrian team and brings marketing and fundraising experience to our Board.

Carlos Lamadrid

Board Member

  • Carlos Lamadrid is the Development Director for U.S. Ski & Snowboard, who champion competitive snowsports and develop U.S. champions culminating in the Winter Olympics. Carlos was also President and Founder of HLC Partners, a consulting firm that provides strategic and tactical advice to a wide variety of companies on branding, team building and change management. Carlos worked in the media and marketing industry for over 25 years, much of that time at Condé Nast.

    Married for over 25 years and a father of two grown children, Carlos has also been a lifelong horseman. Although riding mostly for enjoyment now, he started riding at about 8 years old, competing first in Children’s Hunters, then Junior Working Hunters, and moving on to Jumpers and Dressage. Carlos believes horses help people connect to themselves in an unspoken language that is good for the soul.

Jean Luna Lau

  • Jean is a Managing Director and Team Lead on the Managed Solutions team based in New York.

    In her role, she partners closely with investment teams to develop and execute engagement and communication strategies around J.P. Morgan's Global Wealth Management Investment Solutions, primarily focused on Discretionary Strategies.

    Prior to her current role, she worked as Co-Head of the Alternative Investments Investor Relations Team, where she managed client engagement and communications for the Hedge Funds, Private Equity & Real Estate funds on the platform. Prior to that, Jean worked in the Investment Bank on the Corporate FX and Interest Rates Derivatives Marketing desk, covering North American Corporates.

    She is a Co-Chair and founding member of the J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management Asian Leadership Forum. Jean obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from the Stern Undergraduate School of Business at New York University. She lives with her husband and two children in Merrick, New York.

Lauren Reischer

  • Lauren Reischer is a GallopNYC alumna born with Cerebral Palsy who started therapeutic riding at 3 years old and is now a professional on the hunter/jumper circuit. She works in PR at the American Thoracic Society and is also the Head Coach of the Special Olympics New York equestrian team. She is the first GallopNYC rider to join the Board of Directors!

David Salaverry

  • David is a financial services executive with 25 years of experience, including 20 years at JPMorgan Chase across Strategy, CFO and CAO roles. David is currently the Chief Administrative Office for JPMorgan’s Innovation Economy business in the Commercial Bank, leading the Firm’s efforts to scale its offerings to support the entire Venture Capital ecosystem globally and across the Firm. Prior to this role, David was CFO for J.P. Morgan Chase’s Corporate Responsibility, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Morgan Health Functions, overseeing the Firm’s major ESG commitments and serving as Treasurer and Board member for the JPMorgan Chase Foundation. David has also served as CFO for the U.S. Private Bank and Head of Strategy for the Corporate & Investment Bank at JPMorgan. David started his career as a Strategy Consultant with the Mitchell Madison Group, advising global financial services clients.

    David holds an MBA in Finance & Strategy from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.

    David lives in New York City with his wife and two sons.

Arjun Saraswat

  • Arjun Saraswat is the Head of Controls Management in Legal Risk Management at Meta and has over 10 years of experience across the Financial Services Industry. Previously a senior manager at EY, his career involves leading large-scale projects with business and technology leaders and focuses on transformation, risk, and regulatory activities. Arjun obtained his MBA from Columbia University and Bachelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, along with multiple certifications focused on technology and audit domains.

Corrine Snow

  • Corinne is a Counsel in the Environment and Natural Resources group at Vinson & Elkins. She previously served as Counsel and Chief of Staff in the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.

    She received her B.A. from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She is a lifelong horse lover and former show jumper who now enjoys playing in the pasture with her retirees.

Nicola Short

Treasurer| Executive Committee Member

  • Risk manager and internal audit leader with extensive experience in the financial services industry globally. Nicola has solid knowledge of operational risk management, banking, financial services and related compliance matters.

    She has expertise in the design, implementation, review and challenge of sound practices of operational risk management, internal controls systems and audit. Nicola has proven leadership skills with experience in leading cross-functional and cross-cultural teams as well as leading/influencing those not under her direct report. She has the ability to engage and build professional stakeholder management at different levels across the organization.

    Nicola was educated in the UK and lived and worked in UK, Europe, Americas and Asia. Nicola has travelled extensively personally and for work, including trekking in Nepal, Kilimanjaro, Macchu Picchu and scuba diving some of the top dive sites around the world.

Camille Tirona

Board Member

  • Camille is an assistant vice president and technology support manager at Capital Group with 25 years of IT experience in financial services. She leads a highly skilled team of technologists, providing critical support services to investment analysts and portfolio managers across Capital Group’s North American investment offices.

    Her involvement with GallopNYC began as a rider through their Veterans program. Her husband, a recent US Army retiree, enrolled in the Veterans program after learning about the benefits of therapeutic riding. Moved by GallopNYC’s mission, Camille began volunteering, assisting with lesson support and lead walking. She joined the Rising Professional Group, GallopNYC’s Junior Board, and served on the Corporate Engagement and Fundraising subgroups. Camille is excited to further GallopNYC’s mission as a Board member. 

    Her other board affiliations include work as an Advisory Committee member of the Cristo Rey New York High School, a college preparatory school for low-income students who have demonstrated the potential and motivation to achieve success but do not have the educational background or financial means to attend private school.

    Camille graduated Cum Laude with a BA in psychology from Boston University and holds a certificate in diversity and inclusion for HR from Cornell University.  She lives in Forest Hills with her husband, two children and an adorable mini-goldendoodle.

Rene Theriault

Board Member

  • Rene Theriault is a managing director and head of securities investing within Real Estate Credit at KKR. Rene has an extensive background in the securities industry and commercial real estate finance. In addition, he was previously a practicing attorney in New York. Rene is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Harvard Law School.

    Rene enjoys riding and is passionate about the connection between people and horses.
