New York – April 16, 2025 – GallopNYC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing therapeutic horsemanship programs to New Yorkers with disabilities, veterans, first responders and seniors, celebrated its 20th anniversary by ringing the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) this morning, Wednesday, April 16.

Founded in 2005, GallopNYC has grown to offer life-changing equine-assisted activities to more than 450 New Yorkers weekly. Through its mission-driven programs, GallopNYC helps children and adults improve balance, focus, confidence and communication skills—all through the transformative power of horses.

“Ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange was an extraordinary moment in GallopNYC's 20-year history,” said GallopNYC Executive Director Jennie Bucove. “This honor shines a bright spotlight on our mission to empower lives through horses, and we're immensely grateful to our community, supporters and the NYSE for recognizing the profound impact of our work."

Bucove was joined for the NYSE ceremony by board members, junior board members, staff and volunteers.

The honor places GallopNYC among a distinguished list of organizations and leaders celebrated by the NYSE for their contributions to society.
